Began to play the trumpet at the age of ten, switching to saxophone eight years later. From the mid 1980s to mid 1990s he was involved in experimental rock, also teaching himself composition with digital technology and experimenting with jazz and traditional music before fully devoting himself to improvisation and sound art in 1999. He has collaborated with artists from diverse media, including dance and the visual arts, and has performed with, amongst others, Martine ALTENBURGER, Pascal BATTUS, Frédéric BLONDY, Fabrice CHARLES, Michel DONEDA, Barre PHILLIPS, LE QUAN Ninh and Dan WARBURTON, as well as dancers Anna PIETSCH and Valerie METIVIER, the dancer/performer John FROGER. He has also composed works and sound environments for arts, dance and theatre.
