Kazushige Kinoshita

Kazushige Kinoshita (born 1970 in Kobe) is a Japanese violinist and improviser whose work explores the instrument through unconventional posture and extended technique.

By placing the violin on his lap he draws out a broad range of friction, resonance and texture, treating the instrument as an open sound object.
