Free lanced composer and improviser, based in Hamburg, studied Mathamatics and Music in Kassel and Philosophie and History of Arts at the University Hamburg, Since 1990 he has been writing mainly spatial music for different ensembles (Klangforum, suono mobile, L'ART POUR L'ART, Slagwerkgroep Den Haag, Musikfabrik, Sur Plus, Champ d'acion ...).
He has received a number of awards, including from the Cité internationale des Arts, Paris. From 2001 on he was invited lecturer at Trinity College in Dublin, the Musikhochschule Stuttgart, at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the California Art Institute in Los Angeles. His compostions have been performed in Europe, Asia and the U.S.. Since 2004 he is improvising with NORDZUCKER.
