Tisha Mukarji
Tisha Mukarji is a pianist, improviser and sound artist whose work examines listening, instrument mechanics and unusual acoustic situations. Classically trained on piano, she became interested in the internal mechanisms of the instrument and studied piano tuning, later bringing those discoveries into prepared-piano and experimental performance.
She has collaborated with musicians including Angharad Davies and Dimitra Lazaridou-Chatzigoga, with whom she recorded Outwash for Another Timbre. Her work spans improvisation, sound installation and the interaction of musical instruments with found objects. Creative Sources documents her contribution to this wider field of exploratory music.
